“This Is Fine” is a newsletter on product management that kicks off today!

What topics will it cover?

“This Is Fine” will cover topics on and related to product management (PM). 

Some examples:

• Getting your next PM job (figuring out what you want, finding roles that fit that, getting those roles, onboarding well), to 

• Strategy (defining your product/team’s vision, opportunities, success criteria, roadmap), to 

• Execution (time management, communication, ab testing), to 

• Managing relationships (building and maintaining healthy work relationships, managing conflict, repairing relationships, sharing/receiving feedback), to

• Staying sane (managing your emotions, knowing when to take breaks, avoiding burnout).

Who are you writing for?

I’m writing primarily for current product managers who want to get better at product management. But anyone who’s felt like this dog is welcome.

Who are you?

I’m a product manager with 6+ years of experience in product. Currently, I work at Spotify as a senior product manager on the New Product Innovation team. 

There’s already a lot of great PM content out there. How is this different?

There is. Two of my favorites are “Lenny’s Newsletter” and all things shared by Shreyas Doshi. “This Is Fine” will differ in substance and style. Substance: I’ll strive to share more specific, concrete examples to support and illustrate my ideas. Style: I’ll aim to write in a more fun and engaging way. Expect memes, gifs, stories, and jokes. 

What do I get by reading “This Is Fine”? 

Hopefully, you become a better product manager in a fun way. And, if you’re having a hard time, my hope is these honest notes help you feel a bit less alone.
